Minister James “J.R.” Edwards is the Founder and CEO of Bridge The Gap Outreach Ministries in Danville, Virginia where he and his wife, Keyona Edwards, strive to "Bridge the Gap; One Community & Business at a Time" by Building Relationships In Diverse Geographical Environments through their faith-based, family-centered, and community-focused outreach endeavors. He and his wife are the proud parents of 5 children: 2 girls and 3 boys.


Minister Edwards is a former Commissioner on the Danville Redevelopment and Housing Authority, former Board of Director on the Danville Housing Company, Inc., former member of the Danville Social Services Advisory Board, and former advisory member of the White House African American Stakeholders to raise awareness on how to mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 virus.
